Julian Harrison - Principal

Admitted to practice as a solicitor in 1989, Julian has extensive legal experience both in Australia and overseas. He has worked as a judge’s associate in the Federal Court of Australia in Sydney, in a number of Brisbane CBD firms and spent a period working as a solicitor in Gibraltar. Since 1993, Julian has been in practice in the local area. Julian’s primary areas of practice include commercial property, wills and estates and general litigation.

Lisa Harrison – Solicitor

Lisa has 20 years experience as a nurse and midwife. She holds certificates in both Nursing and Midwifery and a Nursing degree from QUT. She spent some 4 years working as a midwifery educator. She also spent 9 years working for the Queensland Nursing Council primarily as an investigator in the standards area. In 2000 she obtained her law degree with honours from QUT and she completed a graduate diploma in legal practice with merit at ANU in 2003. She undertook the practical component of that course with our firm during 2003 and was admitted as a solicitor in December 2003. Lisa’s primary areas of practice are Wills and estates, traffic matters and general litigation.

Kathy Pell - Conveyancing Manager

Kathy has been with the firm since May 1999. Her conveyancing career spans some 40 years, commencing in England and continuing here in Australia. Kathy heads up the conveyancing section of the firm and works in conjunction with all staff to provide you with the highest quality conveyancing services. Kathy’s vast experience enables her to undertake conveyances with a practical and proactive approach. Kathy is also a Justice of the Peace.

Jenni Stevens – Personal Assistant to the Principal

A long term employee of the firm, commencing in 1987, Jenni’s association with Harrisons can be traced to its predecessor firms Gill and Lane Margate and before that Gail McDougall and Associates. For most of her working life Jenni has been engaged in legal firms primarily in the local area. With her vast experience she provides invaluable paralegal, administrative, managerial and secretarial support to the firm. She works primarily with the principal and deals with the firm’s clients regularly. Jenni is also a Commissioner for Declarations.

Casey Straw – Reception/Conveyancing

Employed initially as a receptionist and office junior, Casey has worked in the firm and its predecessor Gill and Lane Margate since September 1998. Since joining the firm Casey’s role has enlarged and she now provides important support to both the conveyancing section and general office administration apart from her Reception role.

Corrinne Patch - Financial Controller

Joining the firm in July 2002, Corrinne brought to the firm many years of experience in accounts and book keeping within the motor industry. She is responsible for all financial matters related to the running of the firm. She is also involved in management issues and periodically assists with client liaison and marketing activities.
